biography
Katherine trained initially at Cambridge Regional College, before doing a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design. She also completed a course in Advanced Drawing at the Slade School of Art.
Her paintings vary from small to large scale, on paper, board or canvas. Bright colour, simplified forms and a sense of observation and imagination are dominant in her work. Favourite sources of inspiration are drawn from boats, houses and the sea; not to mention the sense of fun and laughter.
Painting professionally since 1998, she now works from her studio near Cambridge.
